To edit my essay I am going to re-organize my introduction paragraph to make my thesis more recognizable and I will do local edits for grammar and MLA format. I also think I need to explore the ‘why does it matter?’ part of my essay. I feel like I mentioned it in my thesis but didn’t really explain it and go as far as I’d like to with it.
My global revisions will be to reorganize and add to my introduction and to add more quotes to support my claim. In order to do this, I think I will have to break up my paragraphs and consider what I’m trying to say in each and every sentence I write.
Before class I was confused about the skills and dispositions part of Sullivan’s article, we talked about this section by defining what “college” level skills and dispositions actually were. I didn’t really have any ideas about what this could have meant except for thinking that skills were related to critical thinking and dispositions were related to the attitudes we approached reading and learning with.
